Accused to bid for liberty?
A GLENVALE woman in custody on a charge of attempted murder arising from a shooting in Rangeville is likely to make a bid for her liberty in coming weeks.
Ellanah Margaret Fay Wilson was remanded in custody last month after initially being granted bail on the charge.
The 26-year-old is one of three people charged with attempted murder arising from the shooting of a 20-year-old man in the stomach and knee outside a Curzon St home in July.
Jackson Paul Edward McInnes, 23, and Luke Anthony Scott, 25, have also been charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident.
The two men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear back in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
Wilson was not in Toowoomba Magistrates Court yesterday when unrelated charges of possessing and uttering counterfeit money, possessing a dangerous drug, possessing tainted property and possessing property suspected as having been used in connection with a drug offence were mentioned.
Her solicitor John Davis asked for an adjournment so all charges could be matched up when his client was next due to appear in court on September 28.
Mr Davis said it was likely that he would be making an application for bail on his client’s behalf at that time but submitted his client was not required to be in court for those proceedings.
None of the three accused has as yet been required to enter any pleas to their respective charges.
Acting Magistrate Roger Stark granted the adjournment and remanded Wilson in custody with all matters adjourned to the same court on September 28 for mention and a possible bail application.
