OUR darling Nicole Kidman just can’t do anything wrong.

While she might have drawn inspiration from the annoying halter neck trend that seems to have made a comeback, she made it her own on the red carpet at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards yesterday.

She chose a Calvin Klein by Appointment tea-length dress in a gorgeous crimson colour.

But it was the sparkling silver halter neckline that made that dress stand out from the crowd.

A few wondered about her shoe choice, some asking if she’d accidentally worn the wrong pair, but clearly Nicole is just a little more stylish than everyone thinks.

She paired her dress with pink satin sandals with asymmetrical crystal straps.

Rising fashion icon Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 13, gave everyone a run for their money when she twirled around in a gorgeous Calvin Klein by Appointment dress with a full tulle skirt.

There wasn’t any real standout trends on this year’s red carpet - it seemed the stars were just happy to wear whatever they wanted.

But it wasn’t all great.

Ariel Winter’s halter neck gown would have looked a little nicer without the thigh-high slits and Mandy Moore looked like she’d been

swallowed by a cake.

Many stepped out in feathers, but Tracee Ellis Ross’ dress missed the mark.
