FRESH from appearing as a suitor in
TV’s The Bachelorette, a bachelor hopeful will take to the field as a player in the spring polo event in Queens Park on Saturday. He will be joined by three other former Australian polo players.
FOUR former Australian polo players, including one from the new season of The Bachelorette, will take to the field in this year’s Spring Polo.
Fresh from appearing on The Bachelorette and vying for Sophie Monk’s heart, Bingham Fitz-Henry will feature in the second annual event in Queens Park.
Mr Fitz-Henry will be joined by other Australian representatives Richard Rawlings, Damien Johnston and Will Gilmour.
Event Group Toowoomba’s Maree Parsons said it was a real coup for this year’s event to have players of such calibre who want to be involved in Spring Polo.
“Toowoomba and the Darling Downs region has been renowned for producing some of the country’s best polo players,” Ms Parsons said.
“To have four Australian representatives plus a host of other players who have also excelled in the polo arena be on show during the day is exciting for the guests coming along as they will get to experience two fast-paced matches.”
Spring Polo will feature two spectator-friendly matches.
While the VIP areas on the day have been sold out, tickets in the canopy lounge are still available and will include a wide range of hospitality options, live music and the chance to take part in the Grand Central Fashions on the Field and other competitions.
“It is always a fun-filled day for all those attending to enjoy polo, field-side champagne, live music and scrumptious food,” Ms Parsons said.
