Unique mansion being built
Home is like nothing seen in city
A ROOF top terrace, wine cellar and central pool what more could you want in a million-dollar mansion?
Sometimes it is nice to see how the other half lives and a gifted architect has recently created a unique glass-clad home that is already taking shape in Toowoomba.
The tri-level home in Rangeville has sweeping views of the Lockyer Valley and its 800sqm space features a central courtyard with pool and fire pit, large wine cellar and a roof top terrace.
Zest Building Designs director Ian Brundell is the architect on the project. Mark Winter Constructions is the builder.
Atoriumu House is a modern-day mansion with the glass walls wrapping around the entire home.
Work has begun on the home with Mark Winter Constructions sharing photos of the project’s beginnings on Facebook.
Mr Brundell said there
were two main aspects to the house.
“The owner wanted something that took in the views of the Lockyer Valley so we created the living, master bedroom and dining to reflect this and added the roof top terrace for something extra,” he said.
“Then we created the central atrium, building the home around the pool, sun deck and fire pit.”
Mr Brundell is a
Toowoomba-raised man who moved to Noosa to start his own architecture business.
He now has plans to open an office in Toowoomba as much of his best work comes from the Garden City.
“I have created quite a few incredible homes in Toowoomba, one even has a bat-style cave and another had a bowling alley,” he said.
“It is amazing some of the homes you’ll find in Toowoomba.”
