Five places for foodies to check out in city
WITH a long weekend ahead, here are five of the newest food places in Toowoomba to check out.
1. Harajuku Gyoza
WALTON Stores welcomed Harajuku Gyoza to its family earlier this month and foodies are loving it.
AS soon as you walk into the doors of the Japanese eatery, the staff make you feel like you have just flown nine hours to another country.
Harajuku Gyoza is known for its dumplings and Japanese craft beer range Yoyogi.
It is open seven days a week in Walton Stores.
2. The Moose
AFTER much hype, The Moose will open its doors on Sunday.
It will offer the city's first cocktail and chocolate parlour; in fact it will be a chocolate parlour and desert restaurant by day and a cocktail bar by night.
The menu will offer everything from Italian gelato, Spanish churros, Belgium chocolate and even a Nutella tap.

3. Yum Cha Cuisine
ADDING another taste of Asian cuisine to the city is Yum Cha Cuisine.
Yum Cha also opened in Grand Central's new dining precinct at the end of August.
It is a licenced restaurant and offers a range of alcoholic drinks along with a traditional Chinese-style Yum Cha lunch and dinner seven days a week.
4. Chong Co Thai Restaurant and Bar
A TASTE of traditional Thai food has hit Toowoomba, serving up authentic cuisine with a modern twist.
Chong Co opened in Grand Central's new dining precinct at the end of August.
Menu favourites will include the massaman curry with slow cooked beef and pad Thai.
It also has a whole range of cocktails to pair with the dishes.
It is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
5. New York Slice
IF YOU are after something quick and easy but still delicious, New York Slice might be for you.
The pizza joint opened at the start of this month, offering free slices to it first customers.
New York Slice is famous for its extra large serving sizes, which are made in the traditional New York way with a thin base and lightly topped in tasty flavours.
