Race 1: A quite betting race to kick off the day on. There was specking for Sheza Good Girl at 10.00. Money came late for Wilma at 6.00. The winner Island Sunset was backed off course after 2.70 was bet on track.

Race 2: Bookies had it down to two — The Groom and Mishani Rainman boh were opened at 2.80. The Currie Army cashed up from the first winner stepped into the winner Mishani Rainman and took the 3.20. This was a bad result for the bookies.

Race 3: There was phone money on roughies Supervisor and Macmick. Mishani La Scala was hard to lay and bookies were 3.20 at jump time. The winner Tisani Magic was backed at 2.70 and the bookies chopped out on the race.

Race 4: In a quiet betting race there was small money on the winner Amanaat at 1.50. There was off-course money on Amanaat and this saw it start at 1.30 and it won accordingl­y.

Race 5: There was small specking for Skylight at 7.00 and Wake Up Jeff was backed eachway at 10.00. The winner Hot Talk was 2.10 on track and again the money went on off course. The bookies on track were 2.00 at jump time and paid the penalty.

Race 6: There was some specking on Naranja at 7.00. On-course bookies freely bet 2.30 the winner Apoloboom and the Currie Army got excited and stepped in. The money was strong off course also and paid 1.60 on the tote. Bookies were in deep now.

Race 7: The early money was on McGill eachway at 5.00. Then the big money came for High Africaine with one bet over the phone of $1200 eachway at the 3.60. The bookies went on with High Africiane and again paid the price of taking on Ben Currie.
