Support to achieve in all arenas

-

RECOGNISED as one of the leading regional independent schools in Queensland, the Whitsunday Anglican School, Mackay, is a co-educational day and boarding school.

For 20 years, Whitsunday Anglican School has provided contemporary boarding opportunities for students from Years 5–12.

Young men and women are nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential and strive for success, whether it be in the area of academic study, music, sport or art.

Two Whitsunday Anglican School boarders recently experienced sporting success at the Capricornia Regional Trials, and have progressed to the Queensland State Athletics Championships which are currently being held in Brisbane.

Year 11 student Kortney Deguara is competing in triple jump and Year 8 student Wyatt Setter in high jump.

Kortney said boarding at Whitsunday Anglican School was a great experience which has allowed her to grow as a person and make friends she now thinks of as family.

“They have been supportive throughout my journey, especially with my sporting achievements, and have encouraged me to work harder in order to achieve my goals,” she said.

To discuss an enrolment application or to arrange a personal tour of the school, contact the school’s registrar Connie-Louise Alexander on (07) 4969 2077 or email registrar@was.qld.edu.au.
