Kryptonite Challenge tests teams
THIS year’s Kryptonite Challenge will test the toughest of the tough, with more endurance challenges than ever.
The fitness event is returning to the Toowoomba Showgrounds for a third year.
It will be held across two days on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5.
There will be 50 insane obstacle courses and challenges including the electro shocker, carry your buddy, the blade crawler, monkey madness, the muddy mountain and the scorcher.
There will also be obstacles to test your fears such as the creepy crawler, claustrophobia and a spider’s web.
Event organiser Phill Reuben said about 400 people attended last year’s challenge and even more were expected this year.
“It is going to be a fun weekend. We listened to what the people wanted and have added some new obstacles as well as kept the extreme stuff like the ice bath and electric shocks,” he said.
“Anyone and everyone can take part, there are challenges to suit every fitness level.
“One of the courses we’ve added is a 50 metre water
slide into the dam which people will love.”
Teams are encouraged to enter the challenge, with a prize for the biggest group.
If a team of more than 56 people is formed, beating the previous team record, Mr Ruben will give back $1000 to their gym or fitness centre.
On the Sunday there will be the Battle of the PTs with
two teams of personal trainers battling it out to raise money for the
Toowoomba Hospice and the Ipswich Hospice.
The Toowoomba Hospice

The Kryptonite Challenge is open to any fitness level and it is not a race so people can take as long as they like to complete the course.
Those who don’t wish to attempt any obstacle can just miss it out and move on.
