1. 2017 Toowoomba Expo

THE 2017 Toowoomba Expo includes the Toowoomba Spring Home Show and Caravan and Leisure Expo and will be a major shopping experience for the Toowoomba region.
It will host an extensive range of quality home and lifestyle products including building, renovating, green living, home improvements, home wares, kitchen ware, electrical and more.

2. Toowoomba Orchid Society Summer Show

WHERE: St Paul’s Lutheran Church Hall
THE Toowoomba Orchid Society is hosting its annual summer show.
Check out the amazing displays and talk to members who are happy to share their knowledge and love of orchids.
There will be orchids on show as well as a sales table to get your own.

3. Toowoomba Gemfest
WHEN: Today and tomorrow WHERE: Centenary Heights State High School
THERE will be almost 55 gemstone and jewellery traders at this weekend’s 37th annual Toowoomba Gemfest.
Hosted by the Toowoomba Lapidary Club, the festival will include a brilliant cross-section of jewellery and gemstones in a host of

4. Festival of Russian Ballet

WHERE: Empire Theatre THE Imperial Russian Ballet Company will present the Festival of Russian Ballet at the Empire Theatre.
The company has performed this three-hour ballet extravaganza all over the world, thrilling audiences.
The program includes an eclectic mix ranging from the magnificent Don Quixote and the dramatic Bolero.

5. The Handmade Expo

THE Handmade Expo is back in Toowoomba and it is all about excellence in
making, baking and growing.
There will be heaps of different stalls to check out and entry is free. It will be held tomorrow from 9am to 2pm.
6. Spare Parts Puppet Theatre
WHEN: Today WHERE: Armitage Centre THE Arrival, by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is a universal tale of the challenges, the humour and adventures of arriving in a new country.
The absence of words not only makes the story perfect for puppetry but emphasises the isolation that is experience by many people arriving in a new place.

7. Garage Sale Trail

WHERE: St Luke’s Church Hall THE Garage Sale Trail is the fire-breathing godzilla of all garage sales.
It is an event held across the country, and it is in Toowoomba.
Stalls will include everything from vintage and retro clothing to craft supplies, records and furniture. It will be held today from 8am to 3pm.
8. Protestant Reformation
WHEN: Tomorrow WHERE: Armitage Centre Christians from across Toowoomba will gather tomorrow to mark 500 years since the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
An Ecumenical Gathering will take place at the Armitage Centre at 5pm.
Choirs from Concordian Lutheran College, TACAPS and St Saviour’s Catholic Primary School will join together with church leaders and the public commemorate the anniversary.
9. Stanthorpe Cup
WHEN: Today WHERE: Armstrong Park, Stanthorpe

10. State Rose Garden

THE Queensland State Rose Garden will celebrate its stage two opening today from 10am.
Five new gardens will be opened and they are all in full flower.
The gardens will include Heritage Roses in Australia Collection, Frank Riethmuller Rose Collection, Rod Hultgren Australian Bred Gold Medal Winners, Alister Clark Collection and Australian War Animal Memorial Garden.
