On-road luxury for a mere $100k

Toowoomba Spring Expo 2017 opens gates

-

ROYAL Flair Caravans are proving that caravanning doesn’t mean you need to travel like a peasant.

Some of their most luxurious mobile homes are on display at the Toowoomba Spring Expo 2017, at the Toowoomba Showgrounds.

The $109,900 Piazza, which comes with a fold-out, covered six-foot “Skydeck” sits at the higher end of the price scale - and for good reason.

The Skydeck is made of an aluminium floor with a wood-grain finish to give it a homely feel, and is able to be set-up by a single person in less than 30 seconds.

Royal Flair Caravans’ Robbie Cochrane said the Piazza was suited “to everybody”, from punters after a casual weekend getaway to those who live in their caravans as they explore Australia.

The 21-foot caravan includes an internal slide-out dining table, giving extra space for dining and living, as well as a queen sized bed, air conditioning, separate shower, separate toilet, and two hatches front and rear.

“This is at the higher end of our caravan offerings,” Mr Cochrane said.

The company is one of nearly 200 across the caravanning and home improvement industries that are set up on site and ready for big weekend crowds.

The expo opened this morning, with people lining up at the entry gates of the Toowoomba Showgrounds from 8am. The Spring Expo is open today and tomorrow, with all the details to be found at www.toowoomba expo.com.au. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children enter for free in the company of an adult.
