CHRIS Hope has decided to auction off one of his beloved cars, a Rolls Royce, and the price starts at just $1.

Mr Hope said the 1973 Silver Shadow series one vehicle, or has he has named Gracie, had been treated with respect.

“I found her in New South Wales, I was hunting and hunting and hunting and then she popped her head up and she said come and get me and that is exactly what I did,” he said.

The self-confessed car fanatic said Gracie had been used as a wedding and formal car for his former business Hope’s Classic Car Wedding and Formal Service.

“Then we decided in October 2016 to close the business. So we sold all the Jags and I kept Gracie,” Mr Hope said.

“I would love to keep her but Gracie knows I can’t justify it. Now I am in a Ford collecting phase.

“But she is beautiful, my wife loves her, but she has got to find a new home and good home.”

Mr Hope will auction his beloved car on Saturday, November 18 through the Toowoomba Auction Centre – which is also auctioning off other vehicles.

“Well we start off at a dollar and go from there,” he said.

While the car will have a reserve price, he said this way of selling his car was worth a shot.

“You wouldn’t want to miss out on this beautiful girl if you love Rolls Royces,” he said.

Mr Hope wants the successful bidder to love the and be able to cruise around or even put her back into wedding work.

Viewing for the auction will start from 6.30am and the sale starts at 8am on-site at 7 Rocla Ct.
