Elders trio looking to make an impact

-

THEY’RE the ‘young guns’ of Toowoomba’s real estate scene.

But, unlike the 1988 movie of the same name, these guys aren’t planning to go out in a blaze of glory any time soon – they’re hoping to be around for the long haul.

Elders sales consultants Lachlan Cowrie, Geordi Pohlman and Leigh Mardel may be fresh faced, but what they lack in experience they more than make up for with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

With a background in property management, Lachlan and Geordi are well versed in thinking on their feet and meeting customer needs.

“We know how the gears work because we have the experience of working closely with our property tenants,” Lachlan said.

“It’s good grounding for sales as you have a strong understanding of what goes on behind the scenes and how you address problems for the best outcomes.” Geordi agrees. “We’re looking to set a standard and build relationships as we establish ourselves in the industry,” he said.

“Elders has such a great connection with the rural community and our colleagues have the experience and knowledge to assist our professional development – so, we’re enjoying working in an agency with such a good name.”

As well as his sales commitments, Leigh is the tech guru of the office assisting fellow staff and clients with any technical queries they may have.

“You never stop learning,” he said.

While only beginning their careers, Leigh said the trio fully understands the importance of developing relationships and going the extra mile for their customers.

“Anyone looking for a long-term career in the industry needs to be trustworthy and reliable,” he said.

“You need to do what’s best for your clients and do things right the first time.”

“I was once told to make rejection your best friend,” Lachlan laughs.

“But we understand the important emotional connection that owners have with their houses and will be making sure we do everything we can to make their selling (or buying) experience the very best we can.”
