Many thanks to Brian Ritchie for providing the fabulous seafood prizes - much appreciate­d indeed. Don’t forget that our Tuesday Nights Under Lights community bowls is on every Tuesday evening until November 28 with bowls commencing at 6.30pm and wrapping up by about 8. Hamburgers are available from 6pm onward, with compliment­ary continuous coffee and tea on hand until we close. Green fees are $5 each and the juicy burgers are available for the same price. Winners prizes are drawn out-of-the-hat, so everybody’s a chance to take home something special. Come along, bring a friend, or make up a triples team and visit us on a Tuesday night soon. North Toowoomba

Today is our usual men’s triples from 12.30pm. Visitors welcome please call 4639 2338 prior to 11.30am. Due to the bottom green being renovated, some games may have to be played as fours. Today’s Thursday ‘jackpot’ is $209 plus a dollar for each of today’s players, but you must be present after the game to win. As an added incentive, this week a Thursday Triples Series continues until Thursday, December 21. Bartercard will be providing an opportunit­y for one player to win an accommodat­ion package at Couran Cove, Stradbroke Island. Every week you play, you receive two chances in the draw. Play on the final day December 21 and you’ll receive five chances in the draw. Club house and amenities will be open from 10am daily. Roll up or practice must be East – West, check with Bar staff. Tomorrow night, Friday, a two course meal available from 6pm. Friday night bar roster is Cam King. Men’s kitchen roster Steve Barnes, Brian Bowe, Terry Brown, Tony Spanjol and Richard Ashton. This Sunday commencing at 9am will be the annual Bar Staff Day. The nomination sheet is filling up very fast. It will be triples but if necessary some rinks will be fours. Take note the Crack A Jack Bowls Shop will be in attendance if you are looking for some new bowls attire or shoes or bowls. Come in fancy dress if you wish to make the day a much more fun day.
