ALL GLAMOUR OF ST SAVIOUR'S FORMAL
THE graduating class from St Saviour’s College were dressed elegantly as they arrived for their formal, according to assistant principal Linda Creedon.
There was 45 students who completed their high school careers last week.
Ms Creedon said the school’s formal was held at the Toowoomba Turf Club, and the theme was starry night.
“The colours were black and white with silver stars over the tables,” she said.
“Our hospitality girls did the serving for the formal and set up in the afternoon.”
The graduates arrived in various transportation and walked out onto a red carpet and into a marquee.
They then had their photos taken before sitting down for dinner.
“I think there was an overall elegance to the style of all the dresses which is really nice,” Ms Creedon said.
“They have a final roll call where they walk in and are introduced individually for the last time.”
The formal is attended by the girls as well as their parents and carers, who enjoyed a dinner and then dancing.
“It was really nice having the parents there as well. It is like a celebration and thanks to the parents too,” she said.
“The girls were up dancing really early. It was really a party sort of atmosphere.”
During the night college captain Lottie Beschel gave her final speech and along with vice-captain Gabrielle Woodcock cut the formal cake.
