RELAXING AND FRIENDLY FAMILY ATMOSPHERE AWAITS IN POTTSVILLE
FOR co-owner and operator of Pottsville Beach Motel, Holly Rees, she knows that her customers appreciate her and her family going the extra mile.
“People say we’ve done a good job and we take pride in the appearance of the motel, and we provide good service... it’s really nice to hear,” she said.
Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Mrs Rees, along with her husband, mother and father, own and run the Pottsville Beach Motel.
“This industry is new to us actually — I was an accountant, my husband is a chippy (carpenter), my father is a liveline electrician, and my mother is an aged nurse,” she added.
“I think people really appreciate that it’s a family owned and operated business.”
The family took over the motel in December 2016, and also employ two cleaners.
“People love how beautiful the town is, and the fact that everything you need is here,” Mrs Rees said.
“It’s also 150-metres to the closest pub and the beach and 500-metres to town.”
The team at Pottsville Beach Motel believes the best way to take in the local area is by getting outdoors.
They have paddleboards, bikes, and other surf equipment available for hire upon request.
The business prides themselves on their customer service and cleanliness.
“In the future, we’d really like to focus on continuing to provide guests with the best possible experience when they stay,” Mrs Rees mentioned.
