That's one away to arrive for the Toowoomba Christian College formal
THE 71 graduates from Toowoomba Christian College made an entrance onto the red carpet as they arrived to celebrate their formal.
The Year 12 celebration was held at the Highfields Cultural Centre to mark the end of the student’s high school years.
College hospitality teacher and organiser Beth Neuendorf said some of the graduating students were the last siblings in a long line of older siblings in families.
“For some parents it was their final child of many,” Ms Neuendorf said.
“Some of the school’s very first students who graduated when the school first started – some of their children were graduating this year so that was pretty special.”
Ms Neuendorf said the students’ modes of transport and their outfits were as varied as they were.
“Just full of dynamic personalities,” she said.
The Toowoomba Christian College’s formal was a sophisticated black-and-white themed function that included lovely food and service, according to Ms Neuendorf.
“The weather was absolutely beautiful. There was a nice breeze,” she said.
“The students had a wonderful time and loved the dance floor.”
Ms Neuendorf said many of the students now had apprenticeships, jobs and further study lined up that they were eager to start.
