A FORMER Toowoomba Grammar School student turned newsreader is a finalist for Cosmopolitan’s and Tinder’s Bachelor of the Year 2018.

Earlier this year the judges narrowed down 60 contenders to just 30 finalists with the help of supermodel Jennifer Hawkins and Simone Ormesher from The Bachelor Australia.

Among the men in the running for the title is Lincoln Humphries, a WIN TV newsreader, who formerly lived and worked in Toowoomba.

The 27-year-old is up against some well known Aussie faces including Neighbours actor Tim Kano, Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger as well as Cam Cranley and Jake Ellis from The Bachelorette.

It is now up to the public to vote on who they think the Bachelor of the Year should be.

Mr Humphries took to his Facebook page and asked his followers to vote for him.

“I’m pretty stoked to let you know I’ve made the top 30 for the Cosmo’s Bachie of the Year,” he said.

“If you’ve the time and inclination, I’d really appreciate your vote; or even a share to your own Facebook friends. There’s $5000 and a Contiki trip on the line here guys, so any help is really appreciated.”

Head to cosmopolitan.com.au and search Bachelor of the Year 2018 to cast your vote.

The winner will be announced in February 2018.
