A CAMPAIGN to raise money for the family of a Mt Tyson man killed in a car crash has raised nearly $11,000 in a week.

Norman Dodd, 31, was killed instantly when his ute rolled on Branchview Rd in Branchview in the early hours of November 26.

The GoFundMe campaign, which was set up by Joyce Mason later that day, is already up to $10,900 and will go towards the funeral costs and supporting Mr Dodd’s family.

“Norman was an adored husband to his beautiful wife Karla Dodd, a loving father to four young beautiful children, Amarlie, Ella, Chaise and Cienna,” Ms Mason wrote.

“Norman was a great friend to so many people and a beloved son, brother and uncle that is already so dearly missed.

“Due to the circumstances of this horrible tragedy, for Karla and the kids and all family and friends it will be a very long, painful time ahead without having financial worries, especially this close to Christmas.

“Norman was the main provider for the household and any help for this beautiful family is welcomed to help out with funeral costs and any other upcoming costs, (so) to allow this beautiful family time to grieve and mourn the loss of our beloved Norm.”

Friends and loved ones who donated money also expressed their sadness for the Dodd family, especially so close to Christmas.

“I’m so sorry to hear of your loss Karla and hope you and your beautiful children are surrounded by love and support,” Sue Williamson wrote.
