Forecast gives hope summer is finally here

-

A TOOWOOMBA woman is searching for a couple after finding their wedding video on a DVD camcorder she bought from Cash Converters.

Michelle Wilson purchased the video recorder, which came with some blank discs, in Toowoomba in May.

But on Sunday she realised one of the discs wasn’t blank - it had a wedding video on it.

The date stamp on the clip is February 22, 2009 and from what Ms Wilson can tell it was taken at Preston Manor Chapel.

“The recording wasn’t the best and it was hard to hear so I couldn’t make out any names on the tape but I want to try my hardest to get it back to the couple,” she said.

Ms Wilson shared video stills on Toowoomba’s Biggest Buy Swap and Sell Facebook page asking people if they recognised the couple. So far, no luck.

“As soon as I saw it, I thought someone must be missing it. Getting married is such a special time in someone life,” she said.

“I have lost a few recording discs in my time and I would love to get those memories back if I could, so I want to help these people get footage of their special day back.

“It is what I would want someone to do if it were me.”

Ms Wilson went back in to Cash Converters but the staff weren’t able to give out any personal information.

A call out to Preston Manor has also been made, in the hopes the names will be on record.

“I just want to do something nice for someone. I hope if enough people see their faces we will be able to find them.”

If you know the couple contact Michelle Wilson on Facebook. IS a hot summer finally around the corner?

After weeks of cool temperatures, conditions closer to what we expect from summer look to be upon us.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting temperatures in Toowoomba will hit 32°C toward the end of the week.

Thursday’s maximum temperature is predicted to hit 30°C before the mercury steadily climbs to 31°C on Friday and 32°C on Saturday.

Thursday is shaping up to be a gorgeous Queensland summer day, with a minimum of 14°C, sunny conditions and light winds.

Clouds will move in on Thursday and there’s a chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening.

A thunderstorm could sweep through the city in the late afternoon or evening.

The clouds will hang around on Saturday, and the bureau is forecasting there could be a thunderstorm. Light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly could lift to between 20 and 25 km/h during the morning.
