-

MINGLE with celebrity chefs, wander through the Noosa hinterland on food and brew trails and check out some of the Sunshine Coast’s best restaurants during the Noosa Food and Wine Festival.

The 2018 program is out now, with more than 35 events showcasing some of Australia’s best chefs.

Next year, the festival is on throughout Noosa and surrounds from May 17–20.

Events will take place at the new Festival Village, on Noosa Main Beach, in Hastings St for the Long Lunch, in signature restaurants and throughout the Noosa hinterland with produce and brewery trails.

Guest chefs include celebrity Miguel Maestre (Maestre Family Food), Colin Fassnidge (Banksia Bistro), Kirsten Tibballs (Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School) and Adam D’Sylva (Coda/Tonka).

The Festival Village will return to the Noosa Lions Park next year.

The Noosa waterways provide a backdrop for the village, which will have a VIP lounge and a producers’ pavilion that gives guests a chance to meet, discover and taste the food on offer from some of the region’s and other Australian artisan producers.

Other highlights include the Taste of Noosa event, which allows festival goes to discover some of Noosa’s best restaurants in the Festival Village. Restaurants include Sum Yung Guys, Embassy XO, Padre Coffee, View Restaurant, Arcuri, Village Bicycle and Providore on Hastings.

Master classes include wine and cheese tutorials plus the Chef’s Skills Table.

Tickets for the Festival Village start from $25 per person, including a complimentary glass of wine from Xanadu Margaret River.

And of course, The Long Lunch on Hastings Street, which is one of the festival’s most popular events, is on again on May 19.
