A STUNNING row of fairy lights creates a magical backdrop for couples getting married at Preston Peak Winery.

Preston Peak Functions owner Rick Osborne, designer Linda Seeto and property owners Ashley Smith and Kym Thumpkin had a vision to create a new element that wowed guests.

After months of planning, preparation and installation, the Avenue of Lights was created.

It consists of 1.5km of lights in 26 trees, including two in the garden area.

About 53,500 golden LED lights now sparkle in the beautiful trees that line the Preston Peak driveway.

It has already proven popular with newlywed couples and guests, with it becoming another photo destination within the venue.

Mr Osborne said he was always thinking of new ways to make the venue look even more spectacular.

“Everyone is really loving it and are really excited about the new photo opportunities,” he said.

“The winery’s infrastructure is complete so now I am looking at ways to make sure there are more amazing photo opportunities throughout the whole property.

“Now come evening time we don’t lose the ambiance outside, with the lights making it look absolutely magical.”

Preston Peak Winery is one of the most-sought-after wedding venues in the region and Mr Osborne said the venue budgets for about 120 weddings each financial year.
