HITS AND MISSES OF GOLDEN GLOBES
Golden Globes red carpet draped in black to show off solidarity
WE’VE never seen a red carpet quite like this before.
Hollywood’s actresses banded together to take a stand against the rampant sexual harassment in the entertainment and other industries by arriving on the 57th annual Golden Globes red carpet in black.
The protest came after a group of A-list actresses formed the group, Time’s Up.
But, just because they all (mostly) wore black, didn’t mean it was boring.
Our own Nicole Kidman shone like a diamond in her gorgeous high-neck gown complete with a sparkling bodice (and also picked up a gong for her performance in Big Little Lies as a woman in an abusive relationship) and the gorgeous Margot Robbie stunned in a long-sleeved satin number with crystal embellishments.
Claire Foy showed she wasn’t just the Queen of England, but also the queen of style in a sharp, black suit.
Supermodel Kendall Jenner makes the list of best-dressed – not because of my obsession with the Kardashians, but because of how absolutely fantastic that tulle dress was.
Young Millie Bobby Brown, of Stranger Things fame, showed she’s one to keep an eye on in the coming years as she hit the red carpet in a fabulous black mini-dress.
That girl just oozes style and knows how to rock a dress.
Outlander’s Caitriona Balfe turned heads in her unique ensemble and Allison Williams was just one of many actresses who incorporated colour into their outfits.
It wasn’t just the women who stepped up their fashion game.
Chris Hemsworth was the bestdressed man on the red carpet, in a suit featuring a funky pattern.
