WHAT would you do with $55 million?

Some lucky punter – or punters – may well be left answering that question tomorrow night when a $55 million first prize will be on offer via a gigantic Powerball jackpot.

News Extra Hooper Centre newsagent Linda Harris said sales of quickpick and system entries were already brisk at her store.

“Usually people leave it right up until the day of the draw before placing their entry but they’ve been coming in early for this one,” she said.

“Most people say they would be happy to share the $55 million.”

Ms Harris said with such a big jackpot punters were prepared to part with a little more cash on entries.

“Most go for something around the $22 mark,” she said.

“People are usually prepared to spend more for a big jackpot.”

The store’s syndicate entries, which range from $18.60 up to $52 a share, have also proved very popular.

For the more adventurous punter, Powerball offers a range of systems entries through its PowerHit systems which guarantee the player the powerball.

However, you will still have to score the other five numbers to pick up the first division prize.

And, for the serious punter, PowerHit systems start from $130 for a PowerHit System 7, the equivalent of a 140 games, up to a PowerHit System 15 which will set back the player a mere $92,997.90 for the equivalent of 100,100 games.

However, the more conservative punter can get into the game for just $3.70 for a four game entry or a system seven standard entry for $6.50.
