Boom week for Eureka

RACING: Cambooya’s Eureka Stud will cap a stellar week if punters are on the mark today at the Gold Coast where they have thrown their weight behind Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic contenders Ef Troop and Jonkers.

The pair is by Eureka’s two-year-old sire-of-the-moment Spirit Of Boom who heads the national first-season sire list.

Ef Troop and Jonkers dominate Two-Year-Old Classic betting alongside Zoustar filly Sunlight.

Eureka’s draft at this year’s five-day yearling sale has included a colt out of Tiyatro which sold for $500,000 on day two.

Eureka also parted with a Pierro-Pure Perfection filly for $500,000.

Other notable sales for Downs’ vendors include a $500,000 I Am Invincible-Ready To Rule colt for Goomburra’s Daandine Stud.

An I Am Invincible-Quack It filly sold for $450,000 for Ged and Jan Nolan’s Rosari Farm.

Eureka’s strong sale continued when a Not A Single Doubt-Amusements colt was knocked down for $475,000.

A colt by leading Hunter Valley stallion I Am Invincible became the highest selling lot in 10 years at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale when he sold for $2 million during Thursday’s day two session.

At the end of day two, sales figure stood at:
