Real Madrid takes Jed’s video viral
TOOWOOMBA teen Jed Hockin can count one of the world’s biggest soccer clubs as a personal fan.
The 18-year-old recently sent a video of his soccer trick shots to the Spanish giants Real Madrid which then shared it across its social media platforms a few days later. More than five million people watched the video the first day it was shared online.

Videos of his football trick shots attract global interest and he has more than 36,000 Instagram followers.
But even he was “blown away” by his newest fan global football powerhouse Real Madrid.
The Spanish club, which has more than 145 million social media followers, shared one of Mr Hockin’s videos across its social media platforms earlier this week.
Nearly three million people watched the video on Instagram alone the first day it was posted - and the number is still rising.
“I can’t possibly explain how I feel about it,” Mr Hockin said.
“I had a plan to shoot a video in my Real Madrid shirt and send it to them in the hope they’d post it.
“When they posted it I was blown away. I’m just doing something I love and it’s hard to believe and comprehend that so many people are watching and enjoying it.
“It goes to show that nothing is impossible if you have passion.”
Mr Hockin said the video took a day to film and has now been viewed more than five million times by Real Madrid’s massive global fan base.
The 18-year-old said he hoped to one day make a career out of his passion.
“I always played and loved sport,” he said.
“This (football trick shots) is just something creative that came from that passion. If I could turn it into a career it’d be awesome.”
