How you can help make it all happen
THE Crocodile Dundee movies are among the best ever made in Australia.
Paul Hogan’s masterpieces were — and still are — revered around the world.
More than 30 years since Crocodile Dundee first graced our screens, some of its famous lines still resonate today and are etched in the minds of those who watched it.
Today, The Chronicle is launching a petition on behalf of Crocodile
Dundee lovers around the world for a new instalment of the famous movie series.
The films did a phenomenal amount for tourism in the Territory and showcased our natural beauties, such as Kakadu National Park, to the world.
When Crocodile Dundee hit the box office in 1986, the world’s population was about 4.9 billion. Now, the world’s population is 7.6 billion.
Just imagine how much impact another Crocodile
Dundee movie would have on tourism both here in the Territory and around Australia.
In the past two weeks, we’ve been agonisingly teased by fake trailers for
a new Dundee film. It’s believed the teasers are simply part of an expensive ad for Tourism Australia to be played during this morning’s Super Bowl. If that’s the case, we’re not standing for it.
We want to make it happen by getting #bringbackdundee trending around the globe.
Toowoomba wants it, Australians want it and the world wants it.
So, c’mon Hoges, please gather your forces and make it happen. We’d love ya forever and ever ... promise.
