Investing in the business community of tomorrow

-

FUTURE Leaders is a well-established initiative of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce specifically targeting our younger professionals and business people, continuing to inspire development and growth opportunities today, empowering the leaders of tomorrow.

Since its inception in 2008, Future Leaders has developed a strong identity of its own and it has grown to become an integral part of chamber.

Members of the Future Leaders Advisory Group met last week and 2018 is going to be an exciting year as we continue to focus on the three key areas of connect, grow and lead and our overall vision of inspiring and empowering.

This year, Future Leaders will deliver a series of high quality, targeted and focused events designed for our local aspiring leaders quarterly.

These exclusive sessions will provide an insiders perspective from our local and national leaders.

They will be delivered in an intimate “fire-side” style and encourage members to interact, develop and grow personally.

Our first event will be held on Thursday, March 15 with guest speaker John Hagan, CEO of Nexus Infrastructure, who will be telling his own career story and sharing insights with our Future Leaders on the things that help him grow and develop professionally.

The Future Leaders mentor program is set to continue this year as well with a number of new mentors coming on board and growing interest from young business people seeking short-term assistance with a particular challenge or long-term mentoring for overall professional development.

If you have staff in your business aged between 18 and 35 years, I encourage you to support them to actively participate in the Future Leaders program.

It is a great opportunity for your staff to access quality professional development, build their networks and confidence, right here in Toowoomba.
