We are still starting early if possible.

After being sent in to bat Nobby made 8-340 in 40 overs thanks to a whirlwind 138 by Tim Dowe off 37 scoring shots. Nick Budden (65), Cam Moodie (44), Oliver Scott (34) and Damien Pauli (30) also contributed with the bat.

Wednesday 14th February: Ladies hosted a beginners day with five ladies turning up to try their hand at golf. We only played 9 holes and then we invited the ladies to join us for morning tea and then to help Dulcie Bellert celebrate her 94th birthday. It is hoped that we may have another beginners day in the cooler months when we have a later start. Thursday Sporters winner was Ken York with 24 points.
Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th February: Members played a Flag – Stroke Event. The winner was Danny O’Brien with 41points. Runner up was Denis Bennett with 41points.

Another hot summers day folks. Easterly winds mainly and rain clouds all afternoon for the 17 members who made it out to the range. We were joined by three family visitors once again. Young and Old are always welcome.

Some members will be travelling to Goondiwindi for the weekend to attend the Darling Downs District Rifle Association Champion of Champions shoot at the Goondiwindi Rifle Range. For those who wish to try target shooting visitors welcome, rifle available and coaching provided. Results from round 4 of Club 33 squash were: Russian Blue 2 (103 points) v Tabby 2 – 6 – 101, Persian 2 – 8 v Burmese 2 – 4, Rag Doll 2 – 5 v Manx 1 – 4, Himalayan 3 – 8 v Siberian 1 – 4 and Siamese 3 – 9 v Sphynx 1 – 3. The leader board is Himalayan 68, Siamese 51, Siberian 51, Russian Blue 50, Rag Doll 36, Tabby 36, Persian 35, Sphynx 29, Manx 25 and Burmese 25. Highlights of the round included Allan Schefe 2 games 35 points v Dan von Pein 1 – 33, Mick Murphy2 – 25 v Jim Hagan 1 - 29, Mandy Gray 2 v Shayne Avis 1 (30 points all) and John Pirlo 2 – 32 v Brent Weedon 1 – 30.
