A WOMAN who police claim blew a breath/alcohol reading almost six times the legal limit has had charges against her adjourned again in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Trinette Kathryn Cliff stood quietly beside duty solicitor Brad Skuse (David Burns Lawyers) who acted as friend of the court and asked for an adjournment on behalf of the 38-year-old defendant.

She has not been required as yet to enter any pleas to charges of driving while under the influence of liquor, driving while over the middle alcohol limit but not above the high alcohol limit while on a provisional licence, two counts of disqualified driving, two of obstructing police and one each of driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.

Police claim Cliff registered a breath/alcohol reading of 0.286 when pulled over while driving in Toowoomba on the night of December 28.

The Newtown resident told police she was driving to get pizza at the time.

Mr Skuse said his client instructed she had been recently admitted to hospital and was yet to pick up the charge sheets from the police station and apply for legal aid and she required an adjournment to do that.

Acting Magistrate Roger Stark acceded to the request and adjourned the case for mention back in the same court on March 13.

Cliff was remanded on bail.
