Do you believe in the Son of God?

-

YOU linger, intentionally watching the controlled breathing and resting eyes.

You gently hold onto your Aunt’s arm, her whispered voice takes great effort.

The eyes have changed, memories surface. As a child you remember the vibrant active tennis player running around the court keenly observing the ball and the beautiful ballroom dancer.

Now the body cannot move, other memories float through.

Life can be long, it can be short.

We generally cannot control that. Yet, here in this room there is a peace.

A child of God is about to return to her Maker.

While experiencing grief at leaving life on this earth with family and friends, it is so comforting that there will be a heavenly reunion with those who choose to respond to His love. There will no more pain and sorrow.

In the Bible in John 9, Jesus healed a blind man.

The religious people threw him out because he was a problem to their thinking. Jesus found him and asked him a question. Jesus asks this same question today.

Do you believe in the Son of God? When we believe in the Son of God, we will have a home assured for us in Heaven.
