FOUR children have been charged with more than 80 offences after a month-long crime spree stretching from Toowoomba to Chinchilla.

The juveniles - two aged 14, and a 13 and 12-year-old were arrested in Chinchilla on Tuesday over a string of crimes including the break and enter of a service station, stealing cars and other stealing offences.

The four juveniles were known to police before the crime spree across the region and had evaded arrest for at least a week, police will claim.

The offenders were also linked to offences in the St George area in the past month, police said.

Chinchilla police located two of the wanted juveniles in the town on Tuesday and arrested them about 9.50am.

The other two of the group later handed themselves in to police.

They were transported from Chinchilla to Dalby Tuesday afternoon.

The four are facing a combined 88 charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, stealing, break and enter and evade offences.

The four offenders have previously been sentenced to youth detention for other unrelated offences, police said.

The four were remanded in custody during a brief appearance in the Dalby Children’s Court yesterday where police strongly objected to their release back into the community.

They will be held in youth detention at Wacol to appear in the Chinchilla Children’s Court by video link on March 2.
