Freedom and flexibility for residents at stunning Living Gems Toowoomba

-

HAVING spent all her life working on rural farms in Queensland, Gaye Anderson moved to Toowoomba six years ago to be closer to her family.

Gaye has settled into life at Living Gems Toowoomba, however she is still a country girl at heart and regularly travels around Queensland visiting small towns off the beaten track.

How did you come to hear about Living Gems Toowoomba?

“On the recommendation of a friend, I thought I would have a look at what all the fuss was about at Living Gems Toowoomba.

I was pleasantly surprised — I love the location of the resort.

My brother told me I would be mad not to move here, there is so much more than a lovely home on offer here.

The resort managers Rick and Cheryl have been very helpful, and the other residents are lovely, friendly people — we are all excited for the opening of the country club!”

How do you like to spend your time?

“I love to travel, I just hop in my car and drive around country areas. When I travel I love finding out about the history of the area. I do miss farm work — I grew up on a dairy farm in Moola and when I got married I lived on a grain and cattle property at Tipton, Cecil Plains. I have just recently arrived home from Myella Farm Stay, near Baralaba, it was a fantastic trip. Some of towns that I have visited include Roma, Cunnamulla, Uralla, Charleville, Longreach, Cooktown, Boulia and Warwick.”

What floorplan did you decide to go with?

“I chose one of the smaller designs, it’s called the Tuli — the two bedrooms are just right for me. I enjoy working on craft projects in the alfresco area, it is so lovely and bright — perfect for craft and great in the winter. My home is low-maintenance and simple — I feel like I don’t need to do a thing!”
