The only competitio­n game played during the week was a B Grade Singles semi-final which saw Rob Leyden defeat Lionel Moore in a very close game.

The final of the A Grade Singles between Ron Briskey and Ray Madsen is to be played by March 11.

The semi-final of Club Pairs between Graham McDonald and Dennis Proud v Bill Derrick and Scott Tweedie is also to be played by March 11.

The first round of the Club Fours is to be played, sub or forfeit by March 18. Club Mixed Triples to be played this Sunday, March 4, at 9.00am: Bill O’Callaghan, Des and Trish Ehlers v Jane Muggleton, Moya Mitchell and Dennis Proud; Pat Talbot, Bill and Mary Hughes v Joan Coutts, Ken Coutts and Dean McCarthy.

Then at 1pm this Sunday, the winner of the morning game between Bill O’Callaghan’s team and Jane Muggleton’s team will play Graham McDonald, tba and Denise Oxford. Next Wednesday, March 7, is our Town and Country self-selected triples, sponsored by Bradley and Katrina from Hudson’s Panel Beaters, commencing at noon. Please put your names on the sheet.

Coming events at the Club include the Guymer/Flint Memorial bowls afternoon on Sunday, March 18 and the Givit Charity bowls afternoon on Saturday, March 24. Both these days will be full of bowls, food, raffles, fun and laughter for the whole family. The Members’ Draw has now reached $400.00.
