Weather issues failed to prevent semi finals cricket matches as the season winds down in Central Downs. Nobby flexed their muscles against a depleted Pittsworth side at Hodgson Vale. Nobby sent Pittsworth in and bundled them out for 135 in the 36th over. Mark Holt 43, J. Johns 26, Jordan O’Shea 18, Jorrod Ott 12 and J. Cameron 11 tried hard to make a decent score to defend.

FOW: 14, 76, 78, 78, 100, 107, 108, 134, 135.

Nobby bowling: Brendan McCarthy 3-23 (8), Tyson Mitchell 3-22(6), Mat Budden 1-7 (6) Damien Pauli 1-12(4). One run out.

Nobby then rattled off the runs in 17 overs for the loss of two wickets for 137.

The first wicket fell at 73 when Nick Budden was out for 14, then Cameron Moodie for 55 off 23 balls when the score was 95. Damien Pauli 40 not out and Wally Eather 10 not out finished the job.

Pittsworth bowling: Toby Berrigan 1-19, and Jarrod Ott 1-20. Pittsworth will welcome back several players for next week against Kulpi. In the knock-out semi final Southbrook won the toss and sent Kulpi in to bat in difficult conditions with several showers through the morning. They made 6-222 in 40 overs. Terry Klingberg 61, David Sipple 58 not out and Brendan Schick 28 contribute­d with the bat.

In reply Southbrook made a cautious start but were on even terms at 20 overs each 3 wickets down and 70 runs but lack of depth told when Kyle Tonkin was out, brilliantl­y caught on the boundary by Tyson Klingberg first ball after drinks for 43. From there wickets fell regularly and they were all out for 137 in 34th over.

Next week Kulpi travel to Pittsworth to see who makes it through to the grand final against Nobby.
