ST JOSEPH'S STUDENTS STEP OUT IN STYLE
ONE St Joseph’s College student made a super arrival to his inauguration ball on Saturday night.
Jeffrey Ferrer rocked up to the formal in the bat-mobile, with the Dark Knight himself (portrayed by Craig Blackburn in this iteration) by his side.
There was no Joker in site though, with organiser Rodney Spain saying the event ran smoothly.
“It was great,” Mr Spain said.
“It was an exciting experience for Year 12 students, their families and the community welcoming them into leadership roles.”
Mr Spain, who is also one of the pastors at the college, said the evening kicked off with the arrival of the students.
“They came in a variety of vehicles, from the bat-mobile to old fashioned cars,” he said.
“Following that, each student was presented on stage, as an individual and a leader of the college.
“Moving forward, there was an address by the principal and guest speaker Tiona Pemberton, a past student who founded jewellery brand Mallow and Thyme.”
Mr Spain said there was also a formal dinner and ballroom dancing.
“Each student was again presented before doing ballroom dancing. There was also a formal dance with their mother and father,” Mr Spain said.
“There was nothing but positive comments and feedback on how well Rumours sparkled up.
“I don’t think the students could image having more fun than they did.”
