ALL THE GLAMOUR OF THE OSCARS
Flawless fashion icons grace the 90th Academy Awards ceremony
WELL on her way to becoming the Queen of Wakanda, Lupita Nyong’o is fast becoming the 2018 Queen of Style.
She looked flawless in a stunning custom Atelier Versace black and gold gown at this year’s 90th Academy Awards.
Although she wasn’t nominated for an award, she’s been having quite the year so far, slaying on the red carpet (nothing beats the fashion at the Black Panther premiere).
If you’ve read my fashion columns before, you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of Nicole Kidman.
And, as usual, she did not disappoint, winning the red carpet in a gorgeous royal blue Armani Privé strapless dress with a giant bow.
Aussie darling Margot Robbie, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in I, Tonya, dazzled in a delicate white Chanel gown her stylist said was inspired by 1990s supermodels.
But the real star of the night was Rita Moreno.
She wore the dress that’s been hanging in her closet since she wore it to the Oscars in 1962, when she picked up the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Anita in West Side Story.
And you know what? If Rita can wear the same dress to the Oscars, there’s nothing wrong with you wearing that favourite dress again either.
Whoopi Goldberg looked fabulous in her floral ball gown and Jennifer Lawrence stunned in her gorgeous slinky bronze number.
While many of the stars opted to wear colour on the red carpet, the Time’s Up initiative wasn’t forgotten, with many pins seen on the outfits of actors of both sexes.
