A VOLKSWAGEN Kombi van took centre stage at a Toowoomba couple’s wedding last year.

Nicole and Benjamin Nunn got married at Shelly Beach on September 22, 2017.

“We both kind of like the vans and found it fitting,” Nicole said.

“We highly recommend them to anyone, as having it was fun.”

The couple had dozens of photos taken with the van, bridal party and other guests.

Overall, Nicole said it was a very memorable day.

“It rained, there was a big thunderstorm,” she said.

“It was beautiful though despite the weather and my hair getting wet.

“We had an intimate and small wedding, 30 guests there in total.”

Nicole, whose maiden name was Kriedemann, said the couple spent their honeymoon at Fraser Island.

“We spent a week there after the wedding which was nice,” she said.

“We’ve got three kids each, six between us, and they were a bit upset that they missed out on that after they saw the photos.”

The couple originally met through family friends.

“We probably met eight or nine years ago,” she said.

“To future brides, just run with the day and don’t stress.

“We had bad weather but it was still amazing. Don’t stress and don’t overdo it as it goes so quickly.”
