Avid gardener is Toowoomba’s Gardening Great

-

FOLLOWED by a competition to find Toowoomba’s Gardening Great, Theresa Jenkinson has been crowned and will feature on the front cover of the 2017/18 Yellow Pages and White Pages Toowoomba book.

The search for Toowoomba’s Gardening Great started due to a partnership between the Yellow Pages, White Pages and the ACFCGN which connects farms and community gardens around the country.

Ms Jenkinson impressed a panel of judges after she entered an image of her garden along with her creative gardening tip, demonstrating her love and passion.

“When I found out I was chosen as Toowoomba’s Gardening Great, I was totally shocked but very excited to accept the title,” she said.

“I have been gardening for more than 20 years and have found no better way to relax and be creative, while also contributing to making my community more sustainable and beautiful. I hope my gardening tip will inspire others in the Toowoomba region to get out and start a garden.”

Not only will Ms Jenkinson and her inspired garden appear on the cover of this year’s Yellow Pages and White Pages Toowoomba book, but her gardening tip, and the secret to her healthy garden, will appear on the inside of the front cover for local residents to use.

Distribution of the 2017/18 Toowoomba Yellow Pages and White Pages will take place from Saturday.
