You would need to know your ASICS shoe size. Colour choice is limited. Planned visit to Gold Coast Lawn Bowls Club June 23 and 24: We now have 10 bowlers (6 men, 4 women). We are aiming for 18 to 21, however will go with less. We will travel by private vehicles. Cost to be finalised, however, at this stage estimated at $90 per person (i.e. transport & shared accommodat­ion). In addition you would need to factor in payment for meals, bowls and entertainm­ent. If interested please let Bill know by Monday, March 26 to enable booking of accommodat­ion. Coaching by Club Coaches Graham Healy and Jim Cosgrove is conducted each Tuesday from 2pm-3:30pm. Crows Nest

Unfortunat­ely Wednesday, March 7 afternoon bowls was cancelled because of the drizzle. Results of 2017-18 intra-club matches played on Saturday, March 10 were: Club-selected triples - Roy Bell, Col Tonscheck and Lachlan Barnes d Tony Collins, Daryl Fraser and Mick Chandler. 2017-18 intra-club matches called for Saturday, March 17 are: Open Pairs Tony Collins and Don Collins v Kerry Lovell and Chrys Robins; and Roy Bell and Roger Brashaw v Ray Weis and Peter Best. Our Tuesday community night bowls concluded on March 13. Although the second six week stint suffered from the rainy weather, it really was a worthwhile experience. President Jim thanks all who attended as well as those members who made it all possible behind the scenes. Today it was a pleasure to be once again on the Cabarlah Golf Course for a ladies competitio­n event. Cool breezes, but no rain. Today we played a single stableford with trophy donated by Fay Wood. In first place today was Chris Tannock with 34 points on count back to Hazel Black 34 and Janelle Kruse 34. Rundown Connie Harrison 31 and Robin Mackenzie 31. Pins today: 1/1 Connie Harrison, 2/5 Petae Frazer, 3/12 Connie Harrison, 4/16 Lotte Pedersen. Next Tuesday, March 20, all ladies are invited to participat­e in our single stroke, monthly medal and putting. This is also round one of GQ Brooch, and qualifying round for the handicap matchplay. In conjunctio­n with the 18-hole event, we will be holding a nine-hole stableford event. Trophy for the day will be presented by Carole Duncan. I would like to mention that the Cabarlah Golf Course is looking immaculate, thanks to our green keeper and volunteers, and the rain.
