Apollo casts spell on Weetwood
HE’S the handsome magician who almost stole Sophie Monk’s heart on The Bachelorette.
Jake Spence, who goes by the name of Apollo Jackson, has visited Toowoomba in the past sharing his magic tricks with residents on the street.
Now, he is coming back to town as the guest of this year’s Toowoomba Weetwood.
On Saturday, April 7, Mr Spence will be at the racecourse mingling with racegoers and will spend his day in the Birdcage on the Darello Deck.
Each year Weetwood draws famous Australian faces to Toowoomba and Mr Spence’s is one many will remember seeing over the past few months.
Mr Spence was one of the stars of last year’s Bachelorette and is also set to appear on the upcoming series Bachelor in Paradise.
Not only is he on the small screen, his body makes an appearance in Marvel Pictures’ blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok as the body
double for the Hulk.
He has performed in Las Vegas and cities around Australia, including Toowoomba.
When he was here last year he gave The Chronicle staff their own personal show and promised to be back.
He said he’d love to perform at the Empire, and while he may not be visiting our theatre he is still making good on his promise to revisit the Garden City.
