Unique new store fires up for Toowoomba’s Weber fans

-

TOOWOOMBA barbecue enthusiasts will be excited to know a store dedicated to Weber barbecues is opening in town.

The Weber Store at Toowoomba BBQ’s and Fireplaces will open at the Bernoth Centre this Saturday from 9am.

It is owned and operated by a local couple Mike and Lyndell Kelly.

Weber’s head office approached the couple about the unique retail concept and asked if they were interested in partnering with them.

It is the 10th store of its kind in Australia.

The store features the entire range of Weber gas and charcoal barbecues and accessories and also shows off the brand’s history.

Mr Kelly said he and his wife were excited for opening day.

“Many people know the Weber brand but I don’t think they will have seen Weber represented quite like this before,” he said.

The store is even equipped with a kitchen to demonstrate the Weber flavour to customers.

“We really wanted to be in a position to show our customers how our products work so having the working kitchen allows us to do that,” Weber’s Luke Saunton said.

“If you want to understand more about the product you own or are interested in purchasing your first Weber, then the team in store can show you how it’s done.”

To celebrate the opening there will be cooking demonstrations, opening weekend specials, a local politician cook-off, face painting and a jumping castle for the kids.
