Too much to see in one day

-

THE three-day Easter Vintage Festival will be held this weekend at the Highfields Pioneer Village.

The theme is “Following Footsteps” and visitors are urged to come and experience rural life in the Australian pioneer days by milking a cow, learning how to crack a whip or be a blacksmith.

There is plenty on offer including a billy tea and damper made on authentic camp ovens, a spectacular Grand Parade and don’t miss the baby animals in the nursery.

There will be live music and great food. You might even encounter the infamous bush ranger Ned Kelly.

Whether you love history, you’re a vintage machinery buff or you are just looking for great entertainment you will have a wonderful time at the Easter Vintage Festival.

It is an affordable, entertaining weekend for all ages. Past visitors have come for a day and returned for all three.

So gather up your family and friends and keep the Australian pioneering spirit alive.

The village is 15 minutes drive north of Toowoomba at Wirraglen Rd, Highfields and is open from 9am to 5pm each day of the festival.

Entry is $20 for adults, $15 concession, $5 for children and $45 for a family (two adults and four children under 15).

You can purchase online at eastervintagefestival.com or at the gate.

There is now Eftpos and credit card facilities and an ATM available for the three days.
