THE long weekend is here and a question you may be asking yourself is, what’s open around town this Easter break?

Don’t worry, we’ve done the legwork for you.

Here is our guide on where you can (and can’t) head for a feed, drink and stock up on groceries.

Good Friday and Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday are all public holidays.

Most shops were closed yesterday but many have reopened today but and some will close again on Sunday.

Coles, Woolworths and Aldi were closed yesterday, but will open for the remainder of the long weekend.

With most 7-Elevens open Australia-wide for the whole weekend, you won’t be caught short if you want a Slurpee, fuel, ice and refreshmen­ts.

Grand Central Shopping Centre was closed on Good Friday but will be open for the rest of the Easter break with varying hours.

Majors, fresh food, restaurant­s and fast casual dining may be open earlier or trade later during this period.

If you want to catch a movie Birch Carroll and Coyle will be open from 10am each day.

Clifford Gardens and Toowoomba Plaza were closed on Good Friday but open the rest of the Easter break.

If you are after a coffee or hot chocolate Zarraffas stores will be trading all long weekend. Milk and Honey Espresso Bar will be open from 6am to 3pm this long weekend.

Urth will be closed until Tuesday, as will The Office, Homegrown Health and Ortem.

Fitzy’s will be closed Easter Monday, but trade as normal today and tomorrow.

Muller Bros will operate as normal, as will Betros Brothers.

The Southern Hotel will also operate as normal and want residents to know there will be no public holiday surcharge over the weekend.

Joyce Mayne and Harvey Norman were closed yesterday but will trade the rest of the long weekend.

Just Pharmacy on the corner of James and West Sts is open as usual.

The Toowoomba Day and Night Pharmacy on the corner of Neil and James St will also be open as usual.

The Chronicle also asked businesses to supply their opening hours for the long weekend.

Malouf Pharmacies at The Ridge, High St and Wyalla are open as usual on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but are closed on Good Friday.

Snooze is also closed Good Friday but will be open for the rest of the weekend.

Greedies Bakery at Withcott is closed on Good Friday.
