BIG names in fashion will come together for Toowoomba’s most glamorous event of the year.
The first Stepping Out Winter Glamour Runway was a sell-out success last year, with organisers preparing for an even bigger event later this year.
It is designed to provide opportunities for Toowoomba’s blossoming fashion industry, including models, hair and makeup, fashion retail and designers.
Organiser Kaye Foley said she hoped to bring something different this year, with the added bonus of rising money for the oncology unit at St Andrew’s Hospital.
“I have about 30 models in the runway show. They are all beautiful models from Toowoomba,” Ms Foley from the Kaye Foley Model Academy said.
The models will showcase about 20 different brands, all of which can be found in the city.
“We have a new section called the emerging designer competition and I am really excited about it,” she said.
The competition is open to high school students and young designers with prize money ranging from $500 to $1000.
