Kids’ fave, gardening, cooking
A CHILDREN’S favourite and sustainability stars will be some of the highlights at this year’s Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show.
Popular children’s show PAW Patrol will take the Homestyle Family Stage while Paul West, from SBS’s River Cottage Australia, and Costa Georgiadis from Get Grubby TV and Gardening Australia will make an appearance.
Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland CEO Damon Phillips said he was delighted to announce the new PAW Patrol act to make sure even the youngest show spectators were kept entertained.
“As any parent with at least one young child will tell you, we know that PAW Patrol is going to be an absolute hit with young kids at the show and we’ve seen the excitement building for the free live performances to be featured during the Toowoomba show,” Mr Phillips said.
Mr Phillips added Mr West, who wrote the The River Cottage Australia Cookbook, would share his journey into sustainable living and how the combination of farming and cooking would lead in all sorts of surprising directions.
“Costa Georgiadis, a landscape architect, host and cocreator of Costa’s Garden Odyssey, and ABC’s Gardening Australia will be showcasing the wonders brought to the world by soil and water,” he said.
Costa will share his best hints, tips and trademark “Costa” moments at the Pohlmans Vege Patch.
