ALDI closes to undergo revamp

-

A TOOWOOMBA supermarket closed its doors yesterday in preparation for a huge store upgrade.

ALDI Harlaxton will undergo a comprehensive store and will reopen on April 20 with a fresh new look including better product displays, improved navigation and modern styling.

Many of the improvements have been implemented after extensive store trials and ALDI’s state-wide roll out of its modern store design in South and Western Australia.

New features of the Parrot St store will include redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays, as well as extended energy efficient chillers.

There will also be energy efficient LED lighting and improved point-of-sale displays and store signage.

When the store reopens shoppers will have access to the same award-winning grocery produces and popular Special Buys, together with fresh fruit, vegetables and bread delivered daily.

“We’re excited to be undertaking these upgrades and welcome the community to visit our new store from Friday, April 20 and share their feedback about the store experience,” an ALDI spokesperson said.

ALDI Harlaxton will continue to be supported by a team of 15 to 20 permanent full and part-time employees.

Toowoomba also has ALDI stores at Kearneys Spring, on the corner of Hume and Stenner Sts, and at Clifford Gardens.
