Downs reps off to Cairns for state titles
AUSSIE RULES: Queensland bragging rights are on the line when the Darling Downs U15s boys and girls teams head to the state championships in Cairns tomorrow.
After a fortnight of intense action at the Queensland Schools Cup, the two teams are ready to make their mark felt against the best in the state.
St Joseph’s were rewarded for their triumph in both the boys and girls junior secondary division with eight players selected in the boys team and six players for the girls.
Dan Fraser will coach the girls team, while Luke Ryan will lead the boys. Cayleb Fidge from Centenary Heights State School was selected as an umpire to make the trip.
