Live music line-up at its finest

-

IT WILL be an impressive line-up at the Spotted Cow on Friday with Big Whoops performing as well as Shark Drive and Tidal Peak.

Mustered from all ends of the Sunshine Coast it didn’t take long for Big Whoops to find their feet after coming together June 2017, with a release of their first demo; altering the normality of the Punk-Rock sound by incorporating fast-paced rap-like vocals over a Motown drumbeat.

This Power-Trio later went onto to record their single release For Crying Out Loud ,a song that displays the groups more sensitive side of composition.

Wooing their way through 2018 the boys have just released their official debut single titled Slither as well as a bunch of shows all up and down the east coast.

Shark Drive is an energetic and eccentric four-piece band from Toowoomba, comprised of four brothers aged 14-22.

Informed by the likes of Green Day and They Might Be Giants, Shark Drive (formerly Stark Drive) make tasty pop-punk songs about pizza, computer problems and social anxiety.

Tidal Peak is a solo studio project with a live incarnation, aided by a drum machine.

In 2015 Kyle Lacko set himself a challenge: to go it alone in the studio by handling all the instruments on recordings, while retaining a lineup to play the music live as a full band.

In late 2017, Kyle assembled his own home studio, and an independent record label to distribute Tidal Peak releases.

Don’t miss this massive event, doors open from 8pm and cost is $5.
