Innovators get Myriad networking

-

We live here ‘cos we love it!

TEN businesses from the Toowoomba and wider region have secured the chance to mix with some of the world’s most innovative investors and developers as part of Myriad.

Billed as Australia’s leading innovation festival, Myriad will welcome the investors and more than 100 speakers from May 16-18.

Five Toowoomba businesses, as well as five from the Maranoa, Western Downs and Goondiwindi council regions will attend the festival, selected as part of the Advance Queensland Regional Innovation Project.

The project is delivered through Food Leaders Australia.

Regional Innovation coordinator Julia Telford said the calibre and diversity of the businesses attending the festival was exciting.

“From the 10 businesses who were selected, five represent Toowoomba Regional Council, and five are representing our western councils - Maranoa, Western Downs and Goondiwindi, so we are excited to have a great geographic representation of what is happening in the innovation space,” Ms Telford said.

The Toowoomba business attending the festival include Wichwon, a free online platform which provides an agnostic comparison of accounting software, and Power Tynan which helps businesses with improvements to systems, integrity, security, data and information analysis.

Other businesses include Maranoa Beef, Goondiwindi-based InFarm and BooBook from the Maranoa region.

More Regional Innovation Program tours will be held next month in Toowoomba and Brisbane.
