2. Mother’s Day Classic

The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research, which is held nationally.
The Mother’s Day Classic Toowoomba will start from Queen’s Park on the corner of Lindsay and Margaret Sts.

3. Fred Brophy’s Boxing Tent

Fred Brophy is an Australian icon. He’s a fourth generation showman who still operates his boxing tent – the last of its kind in the world.

4. Local Feast Farmers Market
WHEN: Today from 7am
WHERE: Cobb and Co Museum
Grab fresh made pasta, nuts, chutneys jams, organic and ethically raised meats.
The markets also include free range meats and eggs, fish, bread, olives, organic vegetables, Turkish and Syrian pastries and sweets, fire pits, wood work and heaps more for the whole family.
5. Mother’s Day Cuppa
WHEN: Tomorrow from 10am WHERE: Highfields Pioneer Village
Bring your Mum and Grandma for a lovely cup of billy tea and damper in the scenic surrounds of the Highfields Pioneer Village.
Tea and damper just $5 per person and a great way to say thank you for all the things Mums do.
A ticket to the Pioneer Village is optional at $10 for adults and $5 for Children.
6. International Food Festival

Come along to the Garden City Mosque open day and 5th Toowoomba International Food Festival for free yummy food, kids games and fun, ladies activities and range of guest speakers.

7. Mother’s Day services
WHEN: Tomorrow from 10am and 3pm WHERE: Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery (10am) and Toowoomba Garden of Remembrance (3pm)
Everyone is invited to join in the annual Mother’s Day services which celebrate the memories of mums who have passed,.
The non-denominational ceremonies celebrate and remember these special people in our lives who are no longer with us at these important times.
Everyone is welcome to visit and refreshments will be served at the conclusion of each service.
8. Mother’s Day Eve Twilight Markets

WHERE: Queens Park
Take your mum out for a pre-Mother’s Day outing.
This boutique twilight market will feature a range of gifts just for mum from handmade items, jewellery, clothing, home wares to beauty products — even an on-site massage therapist.
Come along to Queens Park and enjoy the glorious autumn weather.

9. Yallambee Mother’s Day Markets

It will be a full day filled with cakes, arts, craft and much more.

10. The Lady and the Unicorn
WHEN: Today 10am to 4pm, tomorrow 1pm to 4pm
WHERE: Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, 531 Ruthven St
This exhibition showcases one of the most significant collaborations between Australian artist Arthur Boyd and the London based, Australian-born poet, Peter Porter.
Boyd’s production of 24 bold and evocative etchings were a response to Porter’s reinterpretation of the 16th Century tale of “The Lady and The Unicorn”, which has inspired musicians, poets, novelists and artists since it’s rediscovery in the 1840s.
